"WE STAND WITH PEOPLE"

WFWO's Achievements cover the operations activities: 2002/2004 and 2005/2006, including lending programs and strategy for 2007/2011.

We have also produced a shorter; Annual Report Review outlines our impact in our work every year. Both of these documents are available to download below.

In this, our lending and programs and strategy plan 2007/ 2011, to respond to emergency relief operations and these targets, agreed by all governments, aim to tackle world poverty through actions including halving the proportion by 2015.

The WFWO set out our ambitious plans to make a significant contribution to the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

The strategy's five-year timeframe coincides with the first half of the UN International Decade for Action that “The Millennium Development Goals are too important to fail. It is time to put them on the fast-track they require and deserve”.

By enhancing community-based economies, WFWO and Its overseas partners are helping families generate income to address basic needs. WFWO’s goal is to reduce poverty by increasing the capacity of women, youth, small farmers, to engage in viable and sustainable income- generating activities. We also work to strengthen micro- credit institutions to improve access to small loans for new and current small business owners, to support the Millennium development goals and targets.

This gives us an unprecedented opportunity to contribute sustainable development projects focusing on, poverty, education and health for all in an international arena, giving more of the world's poorest people the chance of a better future and justice to live in dignity.
